WWE Survivor Series 2022 Match Card: Backstage Update On Plans For Roman Reigns

The measuring stick of the WWE in today’s era matches up to the level of The One, The Tribal Chief, The Head of the Table is the current record-smashing Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Some fans are not sure whether Roman Reigns will be a part of the WWE Survivor Series 2022 match card.

He has smashed, stacked, and pinned everyone in his path from legends like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Edge to the current crop of the company such as Finn Balor, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins en route to becoming the longest reigning champion of the modern era holding the gold for 750+days (as of this writing).

Roman Reigns’ appearances have become limited nowadays according to his new contract and also is not scheduled to participate in the next WWE premium live event, Extreme Rules on October 8 taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

However, his next headlining appearance has already been announced as Reigns is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against internet sensation Logan Paul at the company’s next premium event, WWE Crown Jewel taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The match was made official at a special press conference in Las Vegas after a verbal back-forth between Logan Paul and The Bloodline that started with Roman’s appearance at his ImPAULsive podcast.

Will Roman Reigns feature on WWE Survivor Series 2022 match card?

With his first opponent set for the month of November in a title match, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s journalist Dave Meltzer, The Head of the Table is already penciled in to be in the main event of the second WWE pay-per-view taking place in the same month, WWE Survivor Series: War Games.

Traditionally, the show has been surrounding brand competition between RAW and Smackdown. However, it may not be the case this year due to many titles being unified leaving no scope for cross-brand competition.

Moreover, the introduction of the War Games stipulation adds fire to the fuel to this year’s edition, not seeing brand vs brand and confirming Reigns, the top draw for the company to be slated in the main event of one of WWE’s Big 4 pay-per-view.
