Michael Cole features on today’s WWE SummerSlam 2023 News Roundup
The July 14 episode of SmackDown featured a United States Championship Invitational fatal 4-way match between AJ Styles, Grayson Waller, Santos Escobar and Butch. Escobar won the match and progressed to the final.
During the fatal 4-way match this week on SmackDown, US Champion Austin Theory joined Michael Cole and Wade Barrett for commentary. Cole buried Theory on air by saying:
“The WWE fans are chanting ‘This is Awesome’ just because they never say that about YOUR matches, but none the less.”
