WWE Royal Rumble 2023 Predictions: 3 Mistakes WWE Should Not Make

WWE will kick off the road to WrestleMania 39 with the most popular PLE, Royal Rumble. The show is all set to take place on January 28th inside the Alamodome Stadium. The 30 Men and 30 Women’s Royal Rumble match will be the central attraction of the show.

Major flaws were identified at Royal Rumble 2022 and as a result it ended up being a below average show. But things are meant to change this year as the creative master, Triple H will direct the upcoming instalment of Royal Rumble.

Let’s discuss 3 points that should not happen at Royal Rumble if WWE wants to make the event a successful one.

1. WWE should not preannounce all the participants of Royal Rumble match

One of the most exciting aspects of the Royal Rumble match is the element of surprise, whether it’s a surprise return or debut.

Announcing the Royal Rumble participants way before the event always kills the anticipation of fans, so it would be better if the company discloses as few names as they can to maintain the excitement level of fans until the Royal Rumble night.

2. The Rock should not win the WWE Royal Rumble match

The Rock is heavily rumored to win Royal Rumble 2023 to set up his most awaited match against Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 39.

The Great One winning the Royal Rumble match would not be healthy for the competition if he’s simply not returning for the longer run. A short confrontation between the two would be enough to make the match official as the winning slot would be left for someone more deserving.

3. Cody Rhodes should not lose The Royal Rumble match if he returns

If The American Nightmare is cleared to wrestle, and he makes an appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble match, he should better win it and headline WrestleMania 39.

Apart from him, there’s no worthy individual left who can dethrone The Head of the Table. If Cody Rhodes fails to win the over-the-top Battle Royal match upon his return, it will badly affect his future championship opportunities.
