WWE Crown Jewel 2022 extravaganza will happen at Saudi Arabia in November 2022. Since 2018, WWE has been organizing major Live events like the Greatest Royal Rumble, Crown Jewel and even Elimination Chamber in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a part of their 10-year deal supporting Saudi Vision 2030.
Many WWE Hall of Famers and Legends like The Undertaker, Goldberg, Triple H, Kane, Shawn Michaels and Lita have come out of their retirements to compete at these shows for that added Nostalgia factor that Saudi Fans have been craving for decades.
For this reason, we can’t help but speculate about 5 Legends who could return at WWE Crown Jewel 2022:
1. Trish Stratus could return at WWE Crown Jewel 2022
We have seen Sasha Banks, Natalya, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss among others wrestle on Saudi Arabian PPVs.
This is why we feel, the legendary multi time Women’s champion Trish Stratus should make a return and bust some chops on other female wrestlers at WWE Crown Jewel 2022. She is also the most likely to make a return because she has announced her return to WWE Live events as recently as August 2022. Her fellow legend Lita wrestled in Saudi this year itself. Maybe they can face each other in a battle of the legends leaving the Saudi Arabian fans Stratusfied.
2. Kurt Angle could return at WWE Crown Jewel 2022
The Only Olympic Wrestling Gold Medalist in Pro wrestling till date and part of many jaw dropping moments in WWE history is Kurt Angle. A highly decorated legend, he has won gold in all disciples and is a Grand Slam winner as well.
Therefore, the way he retired from WWE in his last stint, with a loss to Baron Corbin at Wrestlemania 35, didn’t suit a legend of his stature. There were also plans of including him in the Elimination Chamber PPV at Jeddah this year which couldn’t materialize somehow. But he has very recently made an appearance on RAW, August 29th and looked to be in top physical shape with chiseled muscles.
With some prior in ring exposure, the Olympian can very well show up at The Crown Jewel and give the Saudi crowd an opportunity to lovingly chant “You Suck”.
3. Stone Cold Steve Austin could return for WWE Crown Jewel 2022
The Texas Rattlesnake was on the top of the WWE food chain in the 90s Attitude Era. His rivalry with The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker and especially Mr. McMahon himself made WWF/WWE the most watched TV show and made it overtake its rival WCW.
It made him a blue-collar hero and a legend. The charismatic wrestler is still in shape and was in the ring as recently as this year’s WrestleMania 38. Him showing up at The Crown Jewel would get a huge ovation from the Attitude era fans including the Crown Prince of the country himself who has confessed to be an old school wrestling fan.
Hell Yeah!!RT @WWEonAE: Are you ready to witness the story of one of the most talked-about rivalries in @WWE history? It all happens TOMORROW night at 10/9c with the premiere of the WWE Rivals @SteveAustinBSR vs @TheRock episode, on @AETV. #WWEonAE pic.twitter.com/HMbo7HoqTp

4. John Cena
16-time World champ, Mr. Hustle Loyalty Respect, John Cena, is easily the most popular WWE brand worldwide. His merchandise sales set records, and he is easily the biggest superstar of the past two decades. Although semi-retired and pursuing his Hollywood ambitions, he still takes the time and makes the occasional appearance with WWE, his recent being on RAW June 27th which marked the 20th anniversary of his main roster debut.
And he has already wrestled in front of the Saudi crowd at the Greatest Royal Rumble where he defeated another Legend, Triple H. He was again scheduled to wrestle at Crown Jewel 2018 but had to cancel, owing to the controversy surrounding the Saudi government. However, this year as the dust has settled on the issue, we might hear “The Time Is Now” one more time to loud pops in the middle eastern kingdom.
5. The Rock
Just waiting you add another name in this list 🔥🔥☝️☝️ #JustBringit #RockvsRoman in #Wretslemania #RomanReigns https://t.co/m2bQnFhrAZ pic.twitter.com/p4LujCfKLk

The Great One, The Rock, is one of the all-time WWE greats. The Legend is also one of the highest paid actors in the world. Therefore, bringing him to the kingdom might be a costly affair. But if someone could do it, it’s the WWE Saudi Arabian PPVs.
Bringing the 8-time WWE champion is also well worth it because it would garner international attention from mainstream media and make headlines everywhere helping the Saudis in their Saudi Vision 2030 mission. Also, the Brahma Bull being involved in a match or even shooting a promo in the ring can be the planting seeds to the big money match WWE is desperately trying to set up between him and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
