Delhi Capitals posts 223 runs against RCB
Delhi Capitals Women displayed a staggering performance in the second game of the WPL 2023. It was poor bowling from the RCB bowlers as they bowled poor lines and lengths.
Asked to bat first, DC batters Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning came out with all guns blazing and smashed all bowlers all over the park. Varma played a staggering knock of 84 runs in 45 balls whereas the skipper played 72 runs knock in 43 balls to stitch a 162-run partnership for the opening wicket.
It was a nightmare for RCB bowlers As RCB bowlers conceded 164 Runs in the first 15 Overs. Based on the superlative bowling performance they posted a mammoth total of 223 runs on the board. Marizanne Kapp (39*) and Jemimah Rodrigues (22*) too played supporting roles as RCB bowlers. Notably, RCB also conceded the same runs in their first game of the IPL.
