Fans on Twitter erupted in joy after Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Vishwanathan said that they are hopeful that MS Dhoni will play for them in the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. They said that they will buy tickets for all the games to bid him farewell.

There have been many speculations about MS Dhoni’s career in the IPL. It’s expected that keeper batter is likely to retire after this season as he last year said that he wants to finish his career in front of fans in Chepauk. This year however they had played 7 games at the venues.
MS Dhoni, who soon will be turning 42, called time on his international career in 2020. And this year during one of the CSK’s games, he hinted about his retirement, saying that fans are coming to support him in huge numbers to give him farewell.
Dhoni is also struggling with his fitness this season as hasn’t batted higher up the order. The keeper batter has batted at the No. 8 spot this season, playing only a few deliveries. With CSK on the brink of qualification, the future of MS Dhoni still remains a big question.
But CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan it’s optimistic about MS Dhoni playing next year as well. Speaking in a video posted on CSK’s account, he said:
“We believe MS Dhoni is going to play next season as well so I hope fans will continue to support us like every time (translation from Tamil).”
