“Will be seeing lots of over the next few years”, Michael Vaughan Predicts The Next Superstar In Indian Cricket

The Ranji Trophy started on February 17th across various venues in India. Considering it had not happened for the last two years, the sight of the iconic tournament returning was a relief for the players and those involved in the game. Meanwhile, the Day 1 of the event saw multiple notable batting performances. The likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Sarfraz Khan, and Manish Pandey all made a century on Day 1. There was also a debutante who took home a few accolades due to his excellent performance. In this article, we take a look at the name whom Michael Vaughan predicts will be the next superstar in Indian Cricket.

Yash Dhull makes a solid Ranji debut

The Indian U19 Captain, who recently led the country to a win at the World Cup, made his Ranji debut for Delhi today. He opened the batting for his team. Against the in-form team Tamil Nadu squad, Delhi was down to 7-2 in quick time. Despite the pressure and the quality he was facing, Yash Dhull scored a century. At the beginning of his innings, he was scoring at a strike rate close to 100. Eventually, he got out after making 113 runs from 150 balls. His knock helped Delhi get to 291-7 at Stumps on Day 1. A few more runs and Delhi could then start feeling confident of getting the first-innings lead.

Meanwhile, Team India must start looking for superstar material soon. There are already plenty of options, but with the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma at the other end of their career, India must be wary of a turbulent transition period. For Yash, though, the next stop should be to participate in India A encounters.
