Galina Joelle Becker was born on March 11, 1987, at Jacksonville, Florida, and one of three sisters. She is of mixed ethnicity but identifies as an African American. The 35-year-old studied management at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The couple got engaged in 2012, after five years of dating, and in 2014, got married at Disney’s Castaway Cay Island in the Bahamas. It was a fairy tale beach side wedding. Blending romance with Disney magic, the couple’s wedding song was apparently Aladdin’s ‘A Whole New World’.
