The preparation for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has started. Teams have released and retained their players and it’s a brainer that the next edition of the event will be a blockbuster like the previous editions.

For the next edition of the tournament, a mini-auction will take place, which will be conducted on 23rd December 2022 in Kochi. With less than 25 days remaining for the event,  it is learned that a total of 991 players including 714 Indians and 277 overseas have registered their names.

The likes of Ben Stokes, and Sam Curran, who missed the last edition, along with Cameron Green, Nicholas Pooran and 17 other overseas players have set themselves a base price of 2 crores.

Whereas the likes of Joe Root, Mayank Agarwal, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Mohammad Nabi and 19 other players have set their base price of 1 crore with veterans Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma setting themselves a base price of 50 and 75 lakh respectively.
