3 former players RCB could realistically target in IPL 2025 Auctions to fill the gaps in the squad

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be happy with their performance in IPL 2024. It is now up to the management to fill the gaps in the squad for the future editions. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three former players RCB could target in IPL 2025 Auctions to fill the gaps in the squad.

1) Quinton de Kock

Faf du Plessis is likely to retire. The ideal replacement for him would be a left-handed opener who can also keep wickets. Quinton de Kock would be a decent choice to have in this regard.

Will Jacks might be the preferred opener but if there is a left-hander and someone experienced at the top, it could be more beneficial. Jacks could then bat at No.3.

2) Wanindu Hasaranga

Wanindu Hasaranga is one of the former players RCB could target in IPL 2025 Auctions to fill the gaps in the squad. RCB must need a good spinner to control the game better in the coming seasons. There are not many available in the market and hence, they could target Hasaranga again.

As seen under Andy Flower, players get more clarity. Maybe, Hasaranga needs this to get going in the IPL. It will also be important for him to deliver with the bat, as well, which will further help the franchise.

3) Shimron Hetmyer

Hetmyer has done well for Rajasthan Royals but he has not been exceptional. Hence, if the discussion is about a handful of retentions, his name might not come up very often.

RCB needs a proper finisher. It is better if this player is a left-hander. In this regard, the West Indian cricketer can be a good fit. It has been a while since RCB had a player with brute force in the lower middle-order. With Hetmyer, RCB can have that and hence, he is a realistic target.
