The Saurashtra all-rounder was in top form in both departments of the game. With the bat, Jadeja scored 175 runs from 228 deliveries. He stitched some vital partnerships with R Ashwin and with the lower-order. The player helped India post 574 runs in the first innings.
With the ball, the left-arm orthodox spinner took a total of nine wickets. While he picked up a five-wicket haul in the first innings, he collected four more wickets in the second inning. Jadeja was given the Player of the Match award for his impactful performance.
