It is high time that India grooms players based on roles in a playing XI. This way, rather than always focussing on depth in either department, India can have quality in each of the slots. That said, multi-utility players offer immense value to an XI, especially in limited-overs cricket. Rajvardhan is someone who can do that for India. While his bowling skills are developing well, if he can add more technical proficiency to his batting, India can have a fine seam-bowling all-rounder for the future.
