Royal Challengers Bangalore grabbed everyone’s attention today by signing three big players. The Bangalore-based franchise roped in the trio of Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera and Tim David ahead of the second phase of IPL 2021. This trio has replaced Adam Zampa, Kane Richardson and Finn Allen, respectively.
Wanindu Hasaranga’s signing has been the biggest talking point because the Sri Lankan leg-spinner performed exceptionally well in the series against India. Hasaranga picked up four wickets in the final T20I of the series against India and won the Player of the Series award. He helped his nation record their first-ever bilateral T20I series win against the Indian cricket team.
Speaking of the other replacements signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore, Dushmantha Chameera is the compatriot of Wanindu Hasaranga. When IPL 2021 Auction ended, not a single player from the Sri Lankan cricket team had an IPL contract. However, now, before he second phase of the competition gets underway, two Sri Lanka players will play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Meanwhile, Tim David has become the first player from his country, Singapore to earn an IPL contract. Singapore is one of the rising nations in the cricket world, and players like David have played a role in their success. Recently, Tim participated in the Big Bash League, the Pakistan Super League and the Men’s Hundred 2021.

RCB have some serious depth now in the squad. Hasaranga's signing will boost their all round department, he'll be lethal on UAE pitches with Chameera. David is also a powerful striker. Looking at the Mega Auction next year, this is probably RCB's best chance to lift the cup.
