Twitter Erupts As Virat Kohli Finally Wins A Toss That Too On His Birthday

After winning none of the tosses in the ongoing T20 World Cup so far, Virat Kohli finally won the coin-toss in the game against Scotland. Also, this happened on his 33rd birthday. Hence, Twitter went into a frenzy as soon as the coin landed in VK’s favour. In this article, we take a look at how Twitter reacted as Virat Kohli finally wins a toss that too on his 33rd birthday on Friday.

Team India is in need of a miracle

After losing the first two games to Pakistan and New Zealand respectively, Team India now needs a miracle to qualify to the semis of the T20 WC. For that to happen, India needs to get big wins against Scotland and Namibia by big margins and then hope Afghanistan to do the team a favour by winning the match against New Zealand.

Toss was an influential factor in India losing the first two games. In both the matches, India had to bat first and failed to set up a big score. Then, the dew factor had an impact as the bowlers could not be at their best. While India lost to Pakistan by ten wickets, they lost to the Kiwis by eight wickets.

Virat Kohli finally wins a toss

Virat Kohli is one of the unluckiest captains with the toss. In T20Is, he has lost close to 30 tosses and in the first three games of the T20 WC, he lost all of them. Hence, it was important for him to win it against Scotland so that they can control their chances of qualification better. Virat did it and incidentally, it happened on his 33rd birthday today. Hence, Twitter was happy with the news and a lot of users reacted. Funnily, at the toss, even Virat said that he wished that the first game fell on his birthday so that he could have won the toss.
