“This guy can’t be real, he can’t be,” Twitter reacts to Virat Kohli’s incredible average of 200 plus in T20 World Cup knockouts

Virat Kohli has played 3 T20 World Cup knockout games so far and has scored a half century in all of them

The former Indian captain Virat Kohli will play his fourth T20 World Cup knockout game tomorrow and his record in the T20 World Cup knockouts is so good that it’s hard to believe.

The Indian cricket team was eliminated from the group round of the last T20 World Cup in Dubai, but they managed to reach the knockout round of the T20 World Cup 2014 and 2016. In 2016, India lost the semi-final against West Indies, but in 2014, they qualified for the final where they lost to Sri Lanka.

Virat Kohli played in all three knockout games in 2014 and 2016 and he scored a half-century in all those games. While in the first knockout game against South Africa in 2014, Virat scored 72 off just 44 balls and helped India chase a tricky total of 170 plus, he then stepped up to the plate in the final against Sri Lanka again when most of the Indian batsmen struggled to time the ball.

Virat was India’s highest scorer in T20 World Cup 2014 final

In the final of the 2014 T20 World Cup, Virat scored 77 runs off 58 balls while batting at no. 3 for India and although he got run out of the last ball of the Indian innings, it was only because of him that India managed to get to 130, as no other Indian batsman could hit boundaries during the latter half of the innings.

Virat was India’s highest scorer again when India faced West Indies in the semi-final match of the 2016 World Cup in Mumbai, as he scored an unbeaten 89 off just 47 balls at the Wankhede stadium and India managed to get to 192. Although the men in blue lost the game, Virat’s performance remained unforgettable for everyone.

Virat Kohli currently has an average of 238 in the T20 World Cup knockouts. The Indian fans reacted on Twitter yesterday when somebody tweeted this incredible stat of Virat. Here are some of the Twitter reactions –

Abhishek

I write a bit on cricket and I am more interested in technical and tactical side of the game, rather than bravado.
