“There are many big scams in the world but…”, Twitter reacts as RCB’s middle-order yet again fails to do well

Royal Challengers Bangalore has been having an issue with its middle-order in IPL 2023. While Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell have stepped up, the other batters are not doing well. Here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted as RCB’s middle-order yet again fails to do well.

RCB’s middle-order yet again fails to do well

Against RR, although RCB lost two quick wickets, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell helped the team do well. They struck boundaries with ease and took RCB to a scoring rate of above 10 runs per over. At one moment, it appeared that RCB would easily get 220 runs. However, they ended their first innings at 189-9. It was all down to the poor show by the middle-order batters.

The likes of Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik, Wanindu Hasaranga and Suyash Prabudessai just could not help RCB get some important runs in the end. This is despite the likes of Jason Holder and Sandeep Sharma bowling, cricketers who are not known exactly for their bowling in the death overs. This issue for RCB has been there since the start of IPL and the management is not trying to address it well. If this continues, RCB will be in for a massive disappointment in one of the games when the top-order gets out early. If that match happens in a crucial tie, the season could be over for them.

Twitter reacts to the disappointing show by the batters

While Twitter expressed their angst for the poor show by the batters yet again, there were a few who suggested a few changes that RCB should consider. One of them includes bringing in Michael Bracewell. However, it needs to be noted that this would disrupt the overseas combination. The other domestic options for RCB include the likes of Manoj Bhandage and R Sonu Yadav.
