“The one thing that I’m sad”- Finn Balor Wanted Demon King Vs The Fiend Bray Wyatt Match In WWE

Reigning WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champion Finn Balor recently opened up on his feud with Bray Wyatt. The two Superstars had a lengthy rivalry on the RAW brand in 2017 and 2019. There were multiple battles on premium live events between the two stars.

Both Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt had a super-natural avatar, which they used for their matches. Balor had The Demon King, while Wyatt had The Fiend. In 2017, Wyatt was also supposed to wrestle as Sister Abigail, but the match never happened.

During a recent interview with The Ringer Wrestling Show, Balor looked back on his rivalries with Wyatt and said:

“Obviously I’d had the opportunity to work with him a lot as Finn versus Bray, as the Demon versus Bray, as Finn versus The Fiend. The one thing that I’m sad that we didn’t ever get to was this Fiend versus Demon match and that was something that we talked about at length.”

“We were kind of hoping that was going to happen eventually, but you know, it’s not to be,” he added.

AJ Styles replaced Bray Wyatt as the opponent for The Demon King Finn Balor at TLC 2017

Many fans would remember that Sister Abigail version of Bray Wyatt was scheduled to take on Balor’s Demon avatar at TLC in 2017. However, due to health issues, Wyatt had to be taken off the card.

AJ Styles stepped up and wrestled Balor in the absence of Wyatt. The two in-ring technicians had a brilliant match, which ended with Balor pinning Styles for the victory. In 2019, Bray Wyatt had a short feud with Balor, where he debuted as The Fiend at SummerSlam.

After defeating Balor in no time, Wyatt shifted his focus to the WWE Universal Championship. He had a memorable feud with Seth Rollins, which ended with a win for Wyatt at Crown Jewel.
