The board of control for cricket in India (BCCI) have announced their 15-member squad for the ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia. What has been the biggest news is senior player Ajinkya Rahane is back on the team.

Rahane last played for India in Tests in January 2022 and was dropped after that due to poor performances. He however, toiled hard and scored truckloads of runs in the domestic circuit, which forced BCCI to recall him into the team.

KS Bharat has retained his place as a wicketkeeper in the team. Whereas Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur are the four all-rounders in the team. The fast bowling battery includes Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav and Jaydev Unadkat.
