Fitness is one of the most important things in a player’s career. Of late players of the Indian Cricket Team have seen the standard high and it is one of the main reasons behind them being the dominant force in World Cricket.
It’s fair to say that one person, who deserves the credit for making the Indian team fit is Virat Kohli. Ever since he was made the captain, not only did he makes himself fit, but he also introduced an all-new fitness culture to the Indian cricket team which has seen the players of the team become fearless and helped the team reach new heights in the world cricket.
Team India is currently rated as one of the fittest in the world and the players like KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and many others have provided full support to Kohli to bring this change in the culture.
However, of late there have been many talks about having a separate set of players in all three formats given the cricketing schedule. This will also keep players fresh and they can concentrate on their game.
But Ravi Shastri while highlighting the importance of fitness feels that players who have good fitness should play all three formats for India.
“Fitness is the most important to play all three formats. The one who has good fitness should play all three formats for India,” he said.
