3 LSG players Andy Flower can target in the trade window if he becomes Head Coach of RCB

As per reports, Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar are set to leave RCB and Andy Flower might become the new Head Coach of the franchise. It was clear at the last two auctions that Flower built his squad based on his philosophy. If he is taking over at RCB, he might target some of the players whom he hired. Of course, LSG must also be willing to release such players. Keeping this in context, we take a look at three LSG players Andy Flower can target in the trade window if he becomes Head Coach of RCB.

1) Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda had a horrible IPL 2023. While he was dropped from the playing XI, he later lost his spot in the Indian Team, as well.

With players like Prerak Mankad doing well, Deepak is not guaranteed a starting spot next season. A multi-utility cricketer, RCB might go for him. He is good against spin and on turning tracks, he can roll his arm over. Hence, he is a part of this list.

2) K Gowtham

K Gowtham is one of the LSG players Andy Flower can target in the trade window if he becomes Head Coach of RCB. Flower likes multi-utility cricketers and Gowtham is one of them.

RCB does not have raw power in the lower middle order. Gowtham is someone who can provide this. Being from Karnataka, he would also please the local fans.

3) Romario Shepherd

RCB did not have a genuine pace-bowling all-rounder in IPL 2023. This hurt their chances in a few games. However, Shepherd, who was brought at his base price by LSG, is someone who can help RCB in this regard.

The franchise does not have a finisher who can demolish the bowlers with brute force. Shepherd can do that and the Chinnaswamy Stadium will help his batting. Yes, his bowling returns could go down. However, that will be a part of the package.
