Especially with the T20 World Cup scheduled in October, the men’s team is preparing aggressively to erase the bad memories of the previous campaign. The Rohit Sharma-led squad will finish the group games of Asia Cup 2022 against Pakistan and Hong Kong by the end of August. Assuming they would reach the Super Four, there would be three more matches in this stage. If India does well, they can reach the finals of the Asia Cup, scheduled on the 11th of September.

After the Asia Cup assignment, India would return home for two quality challenges. The first one will be against Australia, starting on September 20th. This series would include 3 T20I encounters. After this, India will shift focus to South Africa, against whom, the first T20I will be played on 28th September.

Asia Cup 2022 main objective for the men in blue

Winning the Asia Cup will be the top objective for India in the month of September. Based on the results from the Asia Cup, the management will implement the learnings for the next series.

Both Australia and South Africa are terrific opponents. While Australia is the defending T20 World Cup champion, South Africa is a dangerous team and has the potential to win the trophy. Hence, India will be keen to do well against them.
