Although there has been criticism of the way the game has transpired in the ongoing series between Pakistan and Australia, the series has done well with regard to sportsmanship. Players from both sides have been able to keep the atmosphere light with their gestures. Day 3 of the third Test also produced such a moment. In this article, we take a look at how Twitter reacted to David Warner and Shaheen Afridi‘s comical exchange on the field.
David Warner and Shaheen Afridi’s comical exchange on the field draws a lot of reactions
It was at the end of the Day 3 of the Lahore Test that David Warner and Shaheen Afridi engaged themselves in some fun banter. Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi bowled a bouncer and although Warner initially struggled to control it, he was able to do it later on. The ball fell in front of him and Shaheen, in his follow-up, came close to the batter. It seemed that the duo will have a go at each other, but instead, they smiled and then quickly disengaged. It was a fun moment and was even acknowledged by the commentators.
Meanwhile, the third Test is also likely to end as a draw unless there is a collapse by one of the batting teams. Australia holds the aces over their opponents but considering that Day 4 and Day 5 could be tricky, it is hard to predict the outcome of the game. Riding on Usman Khawaja, Cameron Green and Alex Carey‘s fine knocks, Australia posted 391 in the first innings. Pakistan started well but due to a collapse, they got all-out for 268. Australia’s second innings has started and they are 11-0 at the end of Day 3.

Too much of this luvvy duvvy stuff has also contributed to our performances. I’m all for being a “welcoming nation” but there comes a time where you draw the line and play hard cricket. https://t.co/VMSX4VPtTj
