The former Pakistan opening batsman Mohammad Hafeez has raised serious question marks over the body language of the Indian captain Rohit Sharma in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
Hafeez, who was an expert on PTV sports for the game between India and Hong Kong, said that Rohit didn’t look his usual self in the game and was confused for some reason, despite the fact that India won the match in a dominating manner.
According to Mohammad Hafeez, he has played with Rohit Sharma quite a lot and he has always felt that Rohit is a type of character who likes to express himself on the field, but that tendency has disappeared since the time he has taken over as India’s captain.
Hafeez went to the extent of saying that Rohit is looking weak these days and the captaincy of India seems to be taking a toll on him. Making a prediction about Rohit’s future, Hafeez said that Rohit might not be captaining India for a long time with this sort of body language.
The assessment of Mohammad Hafeez about Rohit’s captaincy has surprised a lot of people because India has won more than 80% of the T20I games that they have played under Rohit and Rohit himself has scored runs at an average of over 35 and a strike rate of over 150 in those games.

Hafeez, surprisingly, also raised questions over Rohit’s individual performances and said that this new brand of cricket that Rohit wants India to play, he has not been able to back that with his own performances.
