3 teams that might have a lot of changes in the batting order for IPL 2024

Due to the acquisitions made at the IPL 2024 Auctions, a few teams might be forced to change their batting order. Of course, with new management in place, the batting order could be changed on purpose. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams that might have a lot of changes in the batting order for IPL 2024.

1) Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow Super Giants‘ batting order is surely undergoing a change for IPL 2024. One of the most important changes would be KL Rahul batting in the middle-order. He could operate at No.4.

Since the team has hired Devdutt Padikkal, he needs a place and his best position will be as an opener. Deepak Hooda or Ayush Badoni will be too early for No.3. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if someone like Nicholas Pooran gets promoted as an attacking move.

2) Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings have too many top-order players. This will be a problem for them in the upcoming season like it was in the last campaign.

Whoever does not open with Shikhar Dhawan has to play at No.3. However, Liam Livingstone is not in great form and maximising him could come with using him at No.3. Jitesh Sharma is an in-form player and care must be taken that he gets to face a lot of deliveries.

3) Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH is one of the teams that might have a lot of changes in the batting order for IPL 2024. As per reports, Pat Cummins is likely to get appointed as the skipper of the season. Hence, Aiden Markram could be dropped.

This would leave a big gap in the middle-order. Someone like Abhishek Sharma could have to play in the middle-order for the balance of the side. We could also see Shahbaz Ahmed, Abdul Samad or even Washington Sundar playing in the top half so that Heinrich Klaasen’s entry point could be adjusted.
