Mumbai Indians, after the run of two wins, lost to the Chennai Super Kings on their home turf on Sunday. It was a game that was in their grasp at multiple phases of the game. However, they could not take control and eventually had to miss out on 2 points. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes Mumbai Indians could make for their next game against Punjab Kings.

1) Nuwan Thushara for Mohammad Nabi

Barring the first few overs that he bowls, Mohammad Nabi has not had a big impact so far for Mumbai Indians. With the bat, he has hardly delivered. To be fair, Nabi has not got the chance to do that considering he plays late in the batting order. The two overs that he was delivered could also be tried out by someone like Tim David or Tilak Varma.

It is not sure if Nuwan Thushara has an injury problem. MI must ensure that he is fit and available at the earliest. He is a serious player with his action, yorkers and variations. Mumbai Indians need some support to Jasprit Bumrah in the bowling department. Having someone like Nuwan on the bench, the management must try to make use of him at the earliest.

2) Nehal Wadhera for Akash Madhwal

Nehal Wadhera for Akash Madhwal is one of the changes Mumbai Indians could make for their next game against Punjab Kings. A tactical change could be the way forward for Mumbai Indians. They might want to increase their batting strength and compromise a bit on their bowling.

Akash Madhwal has been expensive in the recent games. Hence, it might be wise to drop him for the next game at least and try out a different combination. It would also be a chance for the youngster to reflect on his performances in the recent games. Nehal Wadhera or any other bowling all-rounder could be a good option to replace Akash.
