The fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League is set to start on March 26th at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the first encounter. Meanwhile, a few players have been catching up at the practise sessions before the season begins. Faf du Plessis enjoys a special bond with Chennai Super Kings. He started his IPL career with CSK and in recent years, Faf has been the best batter for the franchise. The South African also has a great relationship with former CSK skipper MS Dhoni.

However, at the IPL 2022 Mega-Auctions, although they tried, CSK could not buy back Faf du Plessis. Royal Challengers Bangalore hired the cricketer and even made him the skipper of the franchise.

Now, ahead of the season opener, CSK and RCB players met at a practice session that was happening at a common ground. While the CSK fans were excited with the reunion of Faf du Plessis and his former CSK mates, the Indian cricket fans were thrilled with the latest picture of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli together.

CSK will play the first game of the season and on the second day, RCB will open its season with the match against Punjab Kings. The game will start at 7:30 pm on March 27th.
