The 2023 ODI World Cup is set to end soon. Before the event started, BCCI had invested in improving the stadiums. However, yet, a few stadiums fell out of the mark when it came to various factors. A lot of these stadiums will now need to look at improving the facilities to give a better experience to the fans. Here, we take a look at two stadiums which hosted the 2023 ODI World Cup that might need improvement in the next months.
1) Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala
The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala is one of the stadiums which hosted the 2023 ODI World Cup that might need improvement in the next months. When it comes to the most beautiful stadium, HPCA ranks way ahead of many other stadiums. However, the stadium was extremely bad for the cricketers.
The outfield was in a very bad situation and this interfered with the playing conditions. In fact, the players had to be instructed to dive carefully. This was an embarrassment for both the HPCA and the BCCI. The outfield was coming with even minor pressure. Players had to be very careful to avoid injuries. This cannot continue like this. Hence, the association must work on it in the next days.
2) Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad
After the initial schedule was changed, the Hyderabad stadium got a few games. However, unfortunately, the stadium did not get to host any India match. That said, there were some good matches that happened here.
However, many were not impressed with the condition of the stadium. Also, the maintenance was also not good. Due to elections, the next match that was supposed to be held at this venue has been shifted to Bengaluru. The association has a chance to make a comeback with the first Test between India and England that will happen here in 2024. The fans will expect a better facility this time around.
