Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be next seen in action for the sixteenth edition of the IPL. MS Dhoni will lead the pack from the front with a fresh and positive perspective in the hope of guiding the team to fifth IPL glory.

Chennai Super Kings have four IPL trophies in their cabinet. They are the only team to defeat four different IPL teams to win the titles. CSK beat Mumbai Indians in IPL 2010 to win their first title.

In the subsequent season, CSK became the first team to defend the title as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore to win their second title. CSK went on to win their third title by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018 final.

The yellow brigade won the fourth title by beating Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2021 final. However, in the last season, they failed to make it to the playoffs and finished ninth on the IPL 2022 points table.

Not long ago, reports and speculations were rife that the upcoming season will be the farewell season for MS Dhoni. However, nothing as such has been confirmed by MS Dhoni or CSK.

When Rohit Sharma was asked to comment on the same, he said, he has been literally hearing for the last two or three years that this is going to be MS Dhoni’s last season.

According to Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni is fit enough to play a few more seasons in the IPL. Ahead of the IPL 2023, a picture of MS Dhoni hitting the training drills went viral on the internet. MS Dhoni’s biceps were the talking point on social media.

Rohit Sharma said "I have been hearing for the last 2-3 years that this is going to be MS Dhoni's last year (smiles) – I think he is fit enough to play for a few more seasons".
