Marcus Stoinis has played for RCB before. The team was looking for a solid finisher and an all-rounder. They were looking for a replacement for Cameron Green. Stoinis was one of the better options available.
Hence, RCB was desperate for the cricketer. They were serious about him and went beyond INR 10 Cr while bidding for him. However, the Punjab Kings decided they want him and this was decisive in the bidding war.
2) Chennai Super Kings wanted Marcus Stoinis for IPL 2025
CSK is one of the teams which bid for Marcus Stoinis in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions before PBKS signed him. Stoinis plays for the Super Kings in the MLC. Hence, the team knew about his skills.
