Mikel Oyarzabal led Spain, played their second group stage match against Australia. It was a bumpy first half with several failed attempts but the dominants were Spain.

Argentina matched the 1-0 win by Spain, in their match against Egypt at the Sapporo Dome. The first half was a rather disappointing one for both the teams as they looked to sneak in opportunities but failed to convert.
However, seven minutes into the first half, Facundo Medina scores and provides the lead for Argentina. A gallant effort came after that by Egypt but handed them nothing but a 1-0 loss.
