BCCI reportedly set to review India’s T20 World Cup 2022 performance with Rohit Sharma, VVS Laxman Rahul Dravid and Chetan Sharma
India’s exit from the T20 World Cup 2022 following a 10-wicket loss in the semi-final against England, they have come under a lot of scrutinies. Indian players failed to step up on the big occasion and couldn’t handle the pressure, which led to a poor outing in the tournament.
It was the same story for them, which had been since 2014, as they dominated the league stage and succumbed to pressure in the knockout stage. Many have urged them to take some harsh calls, dropping the senior player and bringing a new set of players to the side.
Following the loss, not only players but head coach Rahul Dravid has come under scrutiny as many fans and pundits have raised calls to sack him as the coach. Ever since he took the leadership role, India has failed to win big games. They lost a series in South Africa, a Test against England, Asia Cup 2022 and T20 World Cup 2022 and ODI series against Bangladesh as well.
It is now learned as per the reports in TOI that BCCI had invited Chetan Sharma for a review meeting to discuss India’s performance in T20 World Cup along with captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid and NCA chief VVS Laxman.

India has reached either
semi-finals or finals of T20 WCs on many occasions. T20 game is very fickle and chances of opportunistic wins are high… We have done well… just need to keep playing positive cricket all the time and hope for the best…— Vipin Aggarwal (@_vipina) December 31, 2022
Some hard stances are need of the hour for the improvement of our players management system. Players cannot miss majority of the matches throughout the season because of whatever reason it may be, and then appear at major events all of a sudden on the basis of past reputations

What’s the use… they will come to the conclusion that they should try xyz players and give them chance, But they will select some stupid team just before the world cups…Not saying that any particular player is bad but give players some stability.#BCCISelectionCommittee https://t.co/krobR503jS

Meeting should end with sacking of Rohit from T20 team.
And an ultimatum dt his fitness and performance will determine his place in WC2023 and dt he should not think he is automatic choice for captaincy anymore.— Eric (@RaghaavMD) December 30, 2022
