#2 CM Punk turns heel and attacks Cody in a possible title challenge
What better way to turn heel by attacking a championship match? Well, it is easy to spark a rivalry and assert a different character to CM Punk and all it needs is just one intervention. When the American Nightmare is really close, CM Punk goes crazy and starts inflicting a serious beatdown on Punk, eventually starting a rivalry like none other.
#3 Cody eliminates CM Punk from the Royal Rumble
Cody Rhodes keeps on rocking the Royal Rumble and eventually CM Punk almost eliminates him. But then he gets a clean save and eventually when the two face each other in the latter stages in the Royal Rumble, Cody eliminates CM Punk, prompting a serious rivalry with Phil Brooks, or let’s say the leader of the Straight Edge Society.
