Reported by Ringside News, it is being said that Roman Reigns and his wiseman Paul Heyman don’t want Roman to turn babyface ever. Roman is said to have a lot of creative control over his gimmick and has outright “refused” to turn babyface. Heyman has backed up Roman’s decision and agrees on the Tribal Chief staying heel.
A creative team member has revealed that they insist on stressing that Roman is the main event WrestleMania attraction and always insinuate that he is carrying the company on his back. A conversation with the two goes like this during their meetings:
“They both are always telling writers ‘the character is the champion, the top attraction, the WrestleMania main event, the one who everyone relies on.’ They always use the word “burden” as in “the burden the top attraction feels at all times.” as reported by Ringside News.
Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman are dead set against turning the Tribal Chief character babyface. This is something they're not budging on, so you can cheer for Roman Reigns, but you're not supposed to. https://t.co/3Cgsb4ZbMJ

When was the last time Roman Reigns was a babyface in WWE?
Roman was a babyface earlier in his career and was dragging on as the good guy for years leading to the WWE Universe turning against his character out of sheer boredom.
WWE noticed this and finally let him turn into the evil heel at SummerSlam 2020, following which he also became the Universal Champion a week later and has been undefeated in his title reign till now. He captured the WWE Championship this year as well and is the current Undisputed WWE Universal champion flaunting two belts on his shoulders.

Roman himself has shed more light on his Heel turn:
“So, it was one of those things where it was like, ‘Man, I want to do this because I know I can tap into a different level of character work. I know I can create so many more layers as a performer if they allow me to do this’ but the numbers just wouldn’t let me. When the opportunity came I jumped on it,” His own words from his interview with Ryan Satin of FOX Sports.
Him not wanting to turn face is understandable too because he has evolved from a hated Hero into a Beloved Villain, acknowledged by all.
