Rohan Gavaskar gave perfect reply when asked about best start to a Test career

Former Indian cricketer Rohan Gavaskar has been active on Twitter of late. He has been sharing his views on the recent happenings in cricket. Many fans would know that Rohan was a part of the Indian cricket team in the 50-over format. He played 11 ODI matches for the Indian cricket team, scoring 151 runs and scalping one wicket.

Rohan is the son of legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar. The southpaw was a part of the Indian Premier League in the year 2010. He represented the Kolkata Knight Riders in the tournament, where he got to play two matches. Unfortunately, Rohan Gavaskar could not make much of an impact in the Indian Premier League.

Wisden Cricket posted a tweet to praise Ollie Robinson

English fast bowler Ollie Robinson has been in the headlines this year. When he made his Test debut, his old controversial tweets surfaced online, which led to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) handing him a suspension. Soon, the ECB changed the punishment, and now Robinson is regularly playing Test match cricket for the England cricket team.

Currently, Ollie Robinson is playing in the ICC World Test Championship series between the England cricket team and the Indian cricket team. Although he is not so quick as the Indian pacers, Robinson has achieved a lot of success in his brief Test career so far. Robinson has picked up 26 Test wickets, including a couple of five-wicket hauls. Hence, Wisden Cricket posted a tweet to praise Robinson and asked fans about the best start to a Test career that they could remember.

Rohan Gavaskar responded to Wisden Cricket

Former Indian cricketer Rohan Gavaskar decided to give a ‘short and sweet reply to Wisden Cricket’s question. He just replied the number, ‘774.’ Some fans failed to understand what Rohan meant, but many Indian cricket team fans understood the meaning of 774. It was the total aggregate by Rohan’s father Sunil Gavaskar in his debut Test series.

Sunil made his Test debut for India in a series against the West Indies cricket team back in the year 1971. He played four Tests in the away series and scored 774 runs at a fantastic batting average of 174.80.
