Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently playing for the Mumbai cricket team in the Ranji Trophy semifinal match against the Uttar Pradesh cricket team. Jaiswal played 53 back-to-back dot balls in the second innings of the Mumbai cricket team. He finally opened his account with a boundary on the 54th ball.
After scoring a hundred in this match, Jaiswal had a chat with ESPNCricinfo, where he had said:
“Initially, it was difficult, the ball was moving, and they [Uttar Pradesh] were bowling well. I needed to respect them, and I just needed to get them tired and play that session when they are bowling well. The whole day, the ball was moving. I had to focus well to leave the balls. I was just trying to build partnerships.”
