Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently playing for the Mumbai cricket team in the Ranji Trophy semifinal match against the Uttar Pradesh cricket team. Jaiswal scored a magnificent century in the first innings. His 100-run knock helped the Mumbai cricket team gain the important first innings lead in the semifinal match of the 2022 Ranji Trophy.

However, in the second innings, the left-handed batter took a lot of time before scoring his first run. He opened the innings with aggressive player Prithvi Shaw. The right-handed batter relentlessly destroyed the Uttar Pradesh cricket team’s bowling attack as he scored 64 runs from just 71 balls. He hit 12 fours in his entertaining knock.

Fans should note that Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal had an opening partnership of 66 runs for Mumbai cricket team in the second innings. Shaw scored 64 runs in that, while extras contributed two runs. Jaiswal did not score a run. After scoring a hundred in this match, Jaiswal had a chat with ESPNCricinfo, where he had said:

“Initially, it was difficult, the ball was moving, and they [Uttar Pradesh] were bowling well. I needed to respect them, and I just needed to get them tired and play that session when they are bowling well. The whole day, the ball was moving. I had to focus well to leave the balls. I was just trying to build partnerships.”
