“Rajasthan is trying to run out of their money”, Twitter reacts as Rajasthan Royals almost finish their purse for Harry Brook

IPL 2023 Auctions are happening right now in Kochi. The second player to go under the hammer was Harry Brook. Rajasthan Royals bid for the Englishman until INR 13 Cr and were not able to continue further as they did not have the funds. On that note, here, we take a look as Twitter reacts as Rajasthan Royals almost finish their purse for Harry Brook in IPL 2023 Auctions.

Rajasthan Royals run out of money for Harry Brook for IPL 2023

While Kane Williamson went at his base price of INR 2 Cr, all eyes went on Harry Brook next. Initially, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals started bidding but later, Sunrisers Hyderabad entered the fray. Eventually, SRH and RR got into a war for the 23-year-old batter.

The situation was tense and RR stretched the bid to INR 13 Cr. Interestingly, the purse they had was INR 13.2 Cr and hence, they could not compete for the next bid. Hence, SRH made the next bid and won the services of the player. Harry Brook will be a wise investment for SRH. The team needed some good middle-order batters and hence, the in-form English cricketer will help the franchise. SRH also later added Mayank Agarwal to the squad.

Twitter reacts to RR’s efforts to land the Englishman

Twitter was hilarious with RR’s efforts to hire Harry Brook. It would have been a debatable decision if they had spent all their money on a single player. Especially with the franchise having more slots to fill, they could have brought only one more cricketer if they had won the bid for Brook at INR 13 Cr. Nevertheless, RR will go for a top middle-order in the remaining part of the auctions. They would need backup for the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and hence, they can target a player like Brook. Here is how Twitter reacted to RR almost finishing their purse for Brook:
