India displayed a staggering performance in the first Test against Bangladesh in Chattogram. They pounded the hosts by massive 188 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series. They are now slated to lock horns in the second game against Bangladesh on Thursday (22nd December) in Dhaka. They would be eyeing a white-wash as it’ll only strengthen their position in the context of the World Test Championship.
Predicting India playing XI for the second Test against Bangladesh
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is likely to be available for the second Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka. Therefore it is no brainer that he will walk straight into the playing XI. It will be an unfortunate change as Shubman Gill, who scored a ton in the first game, might make way for him. Whereas KL Rahul is likely to retain his place as an opener in the second game.
Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli have been the lynchpin of India’s batting order in the Tests and therefore they are likely to retain their place at No.3 and No.4 respectively. While Pujara scored a century after almost 3 years in the first game, Kohli didn’t have a good outing and is expected to perform well in the next game.

Shreyas Iyer continue his red-hot form in the first game as he scored 86 runs and bailed India out of trouble. He is expected to retain his place at No.5 whereas there’s no brainer that Rishabh Pant will bat at No.6. The keeper batter played a quickfire inning of 46 runs in the first game and gave his side much-needed momentum.
Indian spinner did a staggering job in the first game therefore Axar Patel, R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav will continue in the second game as well. They might look to give the opportunity to Jaydev Unadkat, who has made it into the squad after 12 long years. They might rest Umesh Yadav, who was exceptional with the ball and played the left-arm pacer along with Mohammed Siraj.
