A night of zero rules and no law prevailing is rapidly approaching the WWE Landscape on October 8 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, titled WWE Extreme Rules. The one night of the year where WWE goes Extreme this year will be the first edition to be held in the month of October and on a Saturday instead of WWE’s traditional pay-per-view day, Sunday.

This year will feature some of the most high-profile showdowns between top-tier WWE talent under some of the physically damaging and brutal match stipulations for every match scheduled to take place at the event. One of those intense match-ups will feature the Original Bro Matt Riddle battling his rival, The Drip God Seth Rollins in their second encounter inside a Fight Pit.

A rivalry that begin months back was supposed to be settled in their first-ever battle scheduled to take place at WWE SummerSlam but did not happen due to Rollins’s attack on his opponent, taking him out of the match due to injury. Riddle bounced back by returning to challenge Seth for a match at WWE Clash at the Castle. The event saw the Drip God putting down the King of Bros, which seemed the end of their rivalry.
However, things did not end there as they continued to cross paths over the next few weeks with Riddle’s interference costing Rollins a chance to win the WWE United States Championship and most importantly championship gold that he had not held for 5 years, on the September 19 episode of Monday Night RAW. Later that night, Riddle went to on to challenge the former Architect to a rematch inside a Fight Pit at WWE Extreme Rules, with Rollins accepting the proposal. This will be considered one of the marquee matches on the Extreme Rules match card considering the storyline build-up, Superstar caliber, and the match stipulation itself.
Prediction on Who will win the Matt Riddle vs Seth Rollins Match?
The storyline between Riddle and Rollins has been one of the highlight programs of the flagship show Monday Night RAW and WWE could be looking to extend it to their next premium event i.e WWE Crown Jewel taking place on November 5 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rollins has already scored a big victory over the Original Bro at WWE Clash at the Castle held in Cardiff, Wales last month.
However, this could be part of a long-term plan to push Riddle as a mainstream star, meaning that the Super King of Bros could deliver a stellar performance inside the Fight Pit considering his in-ring acumen and previous experience in the deadly structure back in 2020 against Timothy Thatcher with WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle serving as the special referee and secure the pinfall over the Drip God to even their match score with 1-1. This will setup the stage for their third and final showdown at WWE Crown Jewel, culminating in Matt Riddle scoring another victory and ending his rivalry with Seth Rollins gaining all the momentum he needs to pursue other opportunities.
Therefore, the winner of the match is Matt Riddle.
