It has been ages since the WWE Universe has seen the Heart Break Kid in action. The last time Shawn Michaels blazed the ring, it was at the Crown Jewel where he teamed up with former tag team partner, Triple H to take on the Brothers of Destruction.
They would eventually emerge as the winners of the contest after more of a drab affair where those creaking bones would rattle themselves against each other, laying waste to absolutely nothing. Since then there have been multiple words about the possible return if Shawn Michaels but as far as the latest update goes, he is most likely not returning.

Here is what Shawn Michaels had to say about his return to the ring
In an interview last year, he quoted that returning to the ring at the Crown Jewel was probably a regretful move. He admitted that spending time with friends in the ring is something that is always welcome to the conductor of sweet chin music but talking shop and opening the shutters is something that now feels totally unwelcome to one of the most agile wrestlers to have ever graced the ring.
In the interview, he quoted, “I think people have always been kind of confused with my peace and joy with the way I did things. And that somehow there should be something nagging at me, something left unfinished.”

Michaels is currently in a contract with WWE as a trainer in their development division called the NXT where he has bred countless monsters who are now ruling the ring with an iron fist.
The most glistering names under HBK to have graced the ring star the likes of Daniel Bryan, Brian Kendrick and Paul London. Michaels, however, coupled with Jose Lothario to open up the training school that gave birth to the jewels. At 57, Michaels had his fair share of wrestling and at the moment he is happy to be involved in the canon from outside the ring.
