Now, former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has opined that Virat Kohli must reply to Babar Azam‘s Tweet of support for the former Indian skipper.

Virat Kohli has been going through a tough phase in the last few years. Question marks have already cropped up on his spot in the Indian XI. For a player of his stature, the barren run is a big concern. On Friday, Babar Azam posted a tweet in support of Virat. Here is what he said:

Usually, the Indian and Pakistan players do not interact much on social media. However, it was good to see Babar Azam come forward and offer a hand of support to Virat. Babar was appreciated for his class act.
Shahid Afridi opines Virat should have responded
Shahid Afridi usually has an opinion when there is a topic about the relationship between the Indian and the Pakistan players. Speaking on Sports Central, the former all-rounder said, “Be it cricket or any other sport, it improves relations. Athletes can do a much better job at it than politicians and a number of them are doing the same.”
He added, “Babar has given across a very good message. I don’t know if there has been a response from the other side. I think Virat should have responded by now. It would be a very big thing if there is a response to Babar’s tweet, but I don’t think that is going to happen.”
On the playing front, while Virat Kohli will next play in the third ODI against England, Babar Azam will be in action against Sri Lanka in a Test match that starts on Saturday.
