India is currently taking on Bangladesh in the first ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka. Asked to bat first, India didn’t have a good start as they lost Shikhar Dhawan early for just 7 runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma looked good for his 27-run knock but was outclassed by Shakib Al Hasan’s brilliance.
After the wicket of Rohit, nothing went in India’s favour as they lost wickets in clusters. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer tried to stitch a partnership but the latter’s short ball woes yet again came to trouble him as he was back in the hut for 24 runs.
After that Washington Sundar (19) joined hands with Rahul and tried to steady the Indian ship but he too fell to leave India tottering at 152/5. However, they suffered a massive collapse after that as they were reduced to 156/8 in no time with Shahbaz Ahmed, Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar back in the hut.
Rahul tries his best and played a good knock of 73 runs but he too perished as India was bundled out for just 186 runs. Shakib Al Hasan was the pick of the bowlers as he took a fifer along with Ebadot Hussain, who took 4 wickets to dismiss India for a low total.
