2) Varun CV could be an option for the Indian Champions Trophy squad
Varun CV is one of the players who could earn a surprising call-up to the Indian Champions Trophy squad. Mystery spinners do not play much in the ODI format.
However, for Tamil Nadu, he has actually been doing well. Plus, Gautam Gambhir is a big fan of the cricketer. Hence, it would not be a surprise if Varun gets a chance.
3) Mukesh Kumar
Mukesh Kumar is an under-rated cricketer. If Mohammed Shami is not available, Mukesh can be Shami’s replacement.
Mukesh can bowl in various phases and he has been doing well in the ongoing VHT. Therefore, he is on this list of probable contenders.
