“New Import, Very Strong Player”- Dinesh Karthik Names The CSK Star Who Will Dominate IPL 2022

Chennai Super Kings have achieved a lot of success in the Indian Premier League over the last 14 years. Playing under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, CSK have won four titles and will enter IPL 2022 as defending champions. There have been multiple mega auctions in the last 14 years, but CSK have maintained their position in the league.

One of the key reasons behind the Chennai Super Kings’ success is that the team does not rely on one player only. Every year, the team management retains its core group and builds the squad around them. CSK have given a platform to some extraordinary rising stars to share the dressing room with the experienced players.

The same trend continued at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction where CSK made some interesting signings. One of them was New Zealand’s left-handed batter Devon Conway. As per Dinesh Karthik, Conway will rule the IPL season. Here’s what he had to say about the Kiwi star on Cricbuzz:

“Devon Conway. He’s a new import, he’s going to make his debut for CSK. Terrific player. I have a feeling he’s a very strong player and will go very very well for CSK.”

Dinesh Karthik and Devon Conway will go head-to-head when RCB battle CSK in IPL 2022

Dinesh Karthik will lock horns with Devon Conway during IPL 2022 when the Royal Challengers Bangalore battle CSK in the league round. Both south Indian franchises are in the same group, meaning they will battle twice during the league round.

It will be interesting to see how the Chennai Super Kings perform in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. They own the record for the most playoff appearances by a single franchise with 11 Top 4 finishes in 12 seasons. With the likes of Devon Conway present in the team, CSK will be among the favorites to lift the trophy this year.
