Messi’s father steps in the transfer saga as he wants his son out of Camp Nou

In an absolutely insane development, Messi’s father Jorge Messi has decided to travel all the way to Catalonia to have a confab with Barcelona president, Josep Bartomeu in order to ensure the smooth movement of Lionel Messi.

Dedicating his life to Barcelona, the Argentine sensation stands at such a weird juncture in his life where he is lingering on the brink of departure from his lifelong allegiance to the Spanish stalwarts, Barcelona, but with his fair share of complications.

His transfer clause is so high that it won’t be possible for just any club to land the Argentine sensation. Adding to that, given his age, the clubs may back down, acknowledging the fact that all this money for four or five more years of football doesn’t make too much sense.

However, there is one team in Europe who can pull off this stunt without thinking much and that is Manchester City. With money never being a problem, they are just contemplating on the red tape that they will have to burn in order to land the Argentine God at Etihad.

Jorge Messi who claims to be the representative of his son will be flying to Barcelona in order to make things slicker for his son headed to City.

It is believed that the discussion will centre on the fact that Messi will not be going back to Barcelona and the best for both lies in the fact that they let him go without further ado.

Unfortunately, Bartomeu has made it clear that if any negotiation does take place, it will only be to extend Messi’s contract. On a very candid note, things are about to get extremely bitter between the world’s best footballer and a deranged president.

How did it all happen?

Chinks were already exposed when Real Madrid took over the crown of Spain leaving Quique Setien and his wards in agony. Messi felt the needles piercing but believed in the fact that the team can turn around the fortunes in the imminent Champions League.

The fortunes did turn but for the much worse as they booked a quarter-final clash with Bayern Munich who toyed with them and left them contorted in extreme ignominy as the scoreline read 8-2 in favour of the Germans.

Setien got sacked on that very night, with the chasms deepening further as the entire Barcelona squad was put up for sale barring four players.

Tempers flared, things got sloppy and Messi created ripples across the entire world as he handed over the transfer request to Barcelona. Is it the beginning of the end for the Catalans?
