Manchester City Premier League fixtures: Manchester City had a fiery start to the latest edition of the Premier League in their first two contests but came an unexpected cropper against Newcastle United where a desperate lunge in the second half saw them coming back from behind to salvage a point.
The defending champions bolstered their squad by landing the illustrious likes of Erling Haaland who has already been in red-hot form ever since his introduction to one of the fastest leagues of the world and has been sprinkling magic all across the Premier League fabric.
The Cityzens started their campaign with a comfortable win against West Ham where the former Dortmund striker found the back of the net twice that started with a banger from the spot. City followed their opening win up with an absolute demolition of Bournemouth as Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring for the Blues followed by strikes from KDB, Phil Foden and an own goal from Jefferson Lerma.

The trouble brewed for the Etihad army on their third night as Newcastle United secured a surprise lead, coming back from behind. Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring for the visitors, keeping intact the tradition of City’s domination. Much to the shock of the world, Miguel Almiron found the back of the net around the half-an hour mark, nullifying the lead for the visitors.
If Almiron’s opener set the tone for the home concourse prancing to their heart’s content, Callum Wilson’s clinical finish send them flying to dreeamland. As City struggled to contain the Magpies, Kieran Trippier, once again stamped his authority over the Premier League fabric as he hammered home an impeccable free-kick beyond the reach of a flying Ederson.
Could watch this nutmeg assist from Kevin De Bruyne all day long 😍

However, given the top-quality team that Manchester City is, Haaland reduced the arrears in the 61st minute while Bernardo Silva administered the equalizer under the watchful eyes of a well-orchestrated City invasion.
With all said and done, City has a string of intriguing fixtures coming ahead of them as they take on the newly promoted Nottingham Forest to conclude August while they will have tougher challenges awaiting them in September starring the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur.
