India and Pakistan are currently involved in a T20I clash in Dubai. This is the first time that the two teams are playing against each other after the 2021 T20 World Cup. Opting to field first, India got the prized wicket of Babar Azam quickly. Babar had scored a fifty in the 2021 T20 WC and was instrumental in handing a 10-wicket loss to India. Babar finished with an underwhelming knock of 10 runs from nine deliveries.

This was Babar Azam’s 10th T20I game at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. He had scored five half-centuries and a couple of important knocks of around 40. Hence, it was a favorite hunting ground for him. His lowest score on this pitch until this game was 19. However, he could score just 10 runs on Sunday and hence, this became his lowest score in T20Is at Dubai.

Meanwhile, India will be pleased with its bowling show in Dubai. While Babar Azam was picked early, India applied constant pressure with their lines and lengths.

Also, India’s tactics in utilizing Hardik Pandya were brilliant. The all-rounder finished with three wickets and was very helpful for India to dictate the game in the middle-overs. It is now up to the batters to follow up with a similar performance.
