The conclusion to this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW was indeed a combination of manipulation, betrayal and shocking antics. This summed around The Awesome Truth defending their WWE World Tag Team Championships against Judgment members, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh.
Earlier in the night, the WWE Women’s World Champion continued her advances towards Dominik Mysterio. Following an in-ring segment featuring herself, Dominik, his father Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega, Morgan came up with the idea to benefit the entire Judgment Day.
She manipulated one-half of the WWE World tag team champion, R-Truth, into getting RAW General Manager Adam Pearce to make a tag title match pitting The Miz and Truth against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, while also getting her beloved Dominik a match against his father next week on RAW.
What happened in the main event of WWE RAW?
The main event showdown for RAW was a great sight of tag team action as The Awesome Truth went up against the two Judgment Day members, with Liv Morgan also joining to watch it. However, chaos erupted during the final moments of the bout as the ringside area was invaded by other Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and Carlito. Although they were chased off by their arch-enemy, Braun Strowman, Liv Morgan stayed at ringside.
Furthermore, as R-Truth was about to close in on the win, Morgan called Truth for a hug only to betray and attack him giving Finn Balor the opening to connect his finisher and pick up the win for himself and JD McDonagh, becoming the new WWE World tag team champions in the process.
The show ended with Balor, JD McDonagh, and Liv Morgan together at the entrance ramp posing with their respective titles, leaving the WWE Universe stunned at the sight of what had just happened.
