Former Indian cricket team captain Virender Sehwag has backed MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings to make a roaring comeback in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League and finish in the Top 4 of the points table. The Chennai Super Kings have had a tough season so far in IPL 2022. They have played nine matches and recorded only three wins. But Sehwag has opined that CSK can still qualify for the playoffs.
To ensure that they remain alive in the race to the playoffs, the Chennai Super Kings need to win each of their remaining five matches. If they win less than five matches, then they will have to hope that the other results go their way.
Commenting on whether the Chennai Super Kings would make it to the IPL 2022 playoffs, Virender Sehwag said on Cricbuzz Live:
“I have been with that man since 2005 and I have seen Indian cricket change under him. After that, we won several ICC knockouts, home series under him, the ones which we used to lose before but they turned into victories. So keeping that in mind, I am saying that it can happen [CSK winning 6 games in a row].”
