ICC World T20 2022: Former wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel has expressed his support for India’s intention to compete in the Twenty20 World Cup with a bowling attack consisting of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In preparation for the competition, the Men in Blue have so far tried out several bowlers for the job of the third seamer. Some of these bowlers are Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, and Arshdeep Singh.
Even though Shami had a successful season with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL), he is not yet a major factor in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). The right-arm pacer’s most recent Twenty20 International match for his country was in the 2021 T20 World Cup, when he took six wickets while maintaining an economy of 9.57 runs per over.
Outstanding delivery by Mohammad Shami to get Ben Stokes. Rishabh Pant takes a magnificent catch behind the stumps.#Shami #ENGvsIND

ICC World T20 2022: What did Parthiv Patel say?
By using Dinesh Karthik as an example, Patel highlighted why it was impossible to rule out the possibility of Shami making a return to India’s Twenty20 lineup. During the course of his conversation with Cricbuzz, he stated:
“If you take Dinesh Karthik as an example, his success in the Indian Premier League contributed to his selection to play for India. Mohammad Shami has had a very excellent performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Not only has he won the title for Gujarat Titans (GT), but he was also a significant factor in the early wickets that were taken. Therefore, he may not be such a horrible option after all. The bowling attack will be the same as it was in the last World Cup, but the players in this squad have improved since then.”

In light of the circumstances that would prevail during the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia, the Rohit Sharma-captained team is expected to have three frontline bowlers throughout the tournament. The battle for the position of the third seamer is coming down to the wire, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah seemingly confirming their places in the team thanks to their talent and experience.
