ICC World Cup 2023: Australian opener David Warner joined Rohit Sharma in the elite list in the World Cups. He became just the second batter in the history of the game to score 500+ runs in back-to-back World Cup editions (2019 & 2023).

David Warner has been one of the main reasons behind Australia reaching the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. The opening batter ahead of the tournament wasn’t in great touch but with the way he has stepped up for his team in the event, it has proved that big players always step up on the big stage.

David Warner was in red-hot form during the 2019 edition of the ICC World Cup. In the 10 matches that he played in that edition, the opening batter scored 647 runs at an average of 71.88. The opener also smashed three centuries and three fifties to go with the highest score of 166.
